Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family that included musicians. Growing up, she listened to classical music and traditional Boleros. In addition, she was a fan of traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana enjoys opera, tangos and every form of dramatic performances. Ana began learning and singing musical instruments with her mother before beginning her vocal training when she was 16 under the renowned Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. Music education was continued by the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterward at the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. She sang in Guadalajara, Mexico City and various cities while a scholar and professional. In 2000 she moved into America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then, in 2007, she relocated to her current home in Southern California. She has performed solo Latin American music for private occasions and is a part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. She is passionate about performing, painting, and performing keeps her involved in a myriad of local activities in the roles of teacher and performer. Ana was also a member of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is now a teacher for the Performance Loft. Ana is thankful for being able to share her passion and appreciation for the traditional Latin American songs with others as she hopes to impart a desire particularly among the younger generation, to help keep this tradition of music lively and alive.Viva Mexico!
