Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri is an Indian actress who has gained fame for her role in the film Hum Aapke Hin Koun and Beta Saajan. She began her acting career in 1990s. Her character as Anil Kapoor on Tezaab has was a huge hit and made her extremely popular. The next film she acted in, Dil, Aamir Khan appeared alongside her. In Mumbai where she grew up, she was within a middle class family parents. As a child, she began to learn about age, she began to take dance lessons. As a young woman, she started acting but struggled as many films she made were unpopular. Then she found her way to success and went on to become one of the top actors in the Indian film business. After her marriage her husband died, she took time off from acting prior to returning. In recent times, she was the main character in Gulaab Gang about Indian women. Dixit is nominated in 15 Filmfare Awards. Of these, she has won 8. In addition, she was awarded her Padma Shri the fourth highest civilian honour in India. Her charitable work is well-known.
